Welcome back our dear friends Rodd and Rita. This time we did not get their precious son Josh but we got their precious nephew, Hunter. We enjoyed watching this family work side by side this week serving their Lord diligently. What a blessing they are to have them in our lives. Rita was excited to get back and see how her "gift shop" was doing. She was quiet impressed with the outcome of all our hard work back in February. Mike was grateful to have Rodd with all his head knowledge on so many different topics to help improve the up keep of the ministry campus. We had Hunter to the mix and we got us some hard working folks here. God is good. Thank you God for this family who loves to come and serve YOU in Honduras.
We are excited to introduce this lovely couple to you today, Alan and Donna. They had been on numerous mission trips and decided to come visit us here in Honduras. There was not anything these two would not attempt to do or try to accomplish. They worked hard together and as well separately. Donna came prepared to do an amazing two day VBS for the children of Tapitoca. She was a child magnet the entire week. The children gravitated to her and her heart warming smile. Alan was eager to learn how to do it the Honduran way and was impressed with the outcome of it. He learned early on how the contentment of his friends here in Honduras are with their daily lives. He shared how he would love to take this contentment back home with him. He shared in his devotional about how the woman at the well was thirsty for water, and how we have been thirsty all week for water. The lady at the well had to recognize the need for Jesus. The living water of Jesus Christ is the only water which will quench our thirst. Alan shared we have a job to do this week, give out the "Living Water" to our lost friends. Thank you both for coming to serve the Lord in Honduras
What a mission minded couple. Welcome back Pastor Larry and his lovely bride, Sandy. They are a team of servant hearts and willing spirits. They radiate their energies throughout their team as they serve side by side for their Lord. Pastor Larry shared all week this is not about us at all but about our Lord and Savior. Pastor Larry was always fixing the ice for the cups at supper and pouring each and every person their drink of choice, whether it was Jamaica tea, lemonade or water. Pastor Larry was there each and every night. Sandy was ready to do whatever it took to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. She wore many hats throughout the entire week. She assisted in VBS, she worked the nursery in church on Sunday(another story later on in blog) and she led the first Women's Bible Study in Tapitoca. She was flexible in all her endeavors and they always took time for each other throughout the week. They enjoyed numerous sunsets together with the team and separately. They enjoy serving the Lord together and it radiates throughout the rest of the team. Thank you both for all you did to make this week successful for the team.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Joshua 24:15
