Do You Have A Bathroom?

We arrived on the first day settling in and bringing all the needed items for the day.  The most important question of the week is where is your bathroom?  We asked Mercedes "Where is your bathroom?"  She shyly shared, "I do not have a bathroom."  Everyone looked at her and said it is okay.  Please do not worry.  There was what looked like a out house over to the back of her property but Pastor Randy said it was full of stuff and was not being used as a bathroom.  So she truly did not have a bathroom.  Some of the team members looked at Meida and said, "Where does Mercedes and her family go to the bathroom?"  Meida calmly lifted her arm and pointed her finger towards some bushes and trees.  This community did not have a bathroom.  The team handled this very well.  They said we will make it work.  This is about the most flexible team I have seen in a while, no bathroom and they said okay we will make it  work.  But the next day when they arrived to their project Mercedes and family had made the North Americans a bathroom.  Lynn said daily Mercedes cleaned out the old toilet paper and clean the bag it was stored in for them.  This was the most amazing bathroom ever the team shared.  They were humbled by the gesture of the Hondurans who did not have a bathroom to make them a bathroom for their week.
