We would love to welcome Joey and his lovely wife Brenda to Honduras. This is there first time here and they blended right in perfectly with what was expected of each of them to do this week. They both came on board with willing and servant's hearts. Brenda shared she was anxious about coming but once upon her arrival God took care of all those concerns. Daily she would come to me and say what an amazing and beautiful day she experienced. She allowed God to use her in so many ways Brenda never thought possible. Joey was there to do whatever he was called to do that day for his Lord and Savior.
There night of devotion fell on Sunday evening. They chose to share about the two sisters Martha and Mary. Brenda graciously read the scripture reference out of Luke 10:38-42. Joey proceeded to share how Martha and Mary were different in their relationships with Jesus but one was no better than the other. Mary built her relationship with Jesus at his feet as she listened to every word he shared. Martha was a servant listener. Our service to Christ can become a busyness for Christ. We need to find a balance in our lives of being still and being servants of Christ. It is the same with us this week we need to do more than build a house he need to build our relationship with Jesus while we are here. We need to listen and hear God calm voice speaking to us while we are here this week and as we return back home. Thank you Joey and Brenda for bringing so much to your team this week.
