Erlin, Our Brother in Christ

This young man has a very hard life as a Christian here in Honduras.  He is a former drug and alcohol user.  He received Christ a few years ago and was working for a local church serving His Lord.  The church found out he was a former drug user and alcoholic and removed him from their church staff.  Praise God Erlin found Pastor Jose Luis and became a part of this church plant in his community.  Tyler and Natalie befriended him this week and went over to his home to pray for his mother who is not a believer.  Erlin lives with nine people who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  He struggles daily with his walk with the Lord.  He is most likely persecuted for his beliefs.  But praise God Pastor Carlos had the opportunity to encourage him in his walk with the Lord.  Thank God for grace which covers a multitude of sins.  We as Christians have to be very careful how we pass judgement on other new Christians.  They need to be lifted up not pulled down for their past sins.  We are all sinners saved by grace and the blood on the cross of Jesus.  Thank you God for sending Tyler and Natalie Erlin's way to encourage him in his walk with the Lord.  The entire team encouraged him simply by their action of labor for Jesus on his cousin's home.  Erlin so true Christian love through the North Americans and his church family up on that rocky terrane called Nacaome.  Sorry for the church who removed such a special young man who they could see beyond his past mistakes.  How many of us today have a past?  If we are all honest we all do and praise God we are forgiven if we only ask.  Today if you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you may think you are not good enough well you are right.  We are not any of us good enough to be called a child of God.  But because He loved us so much He sent His only Son to die on the cross for sinners like you and me we can be forgiven and live a new life in Jesus Christ.  So I pray today if you do not know Jesus Christ please let go of your old life and start a new life living it for Jesus just like Erlin did.  Will it be easy?  Ask Erlin he surely can tell  you no, but is it worth it, oh yes. Eternity awakes all who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.  Jesus is coming again are you ready to meet HIM face to face.
