We all gathered around this new home for Luis, Cindi, Marie Eleana, Luis Alfredo and little Cindi. First Mike, team leader opened us up with a prayer. Mike at this time asked the family did they have any words. Now this was a family who spoke very few words but when they did speak, it carried weight and volume. Luis first gave God all the glory for his new home and then turned to the North Americans and thanks them for coming along beside them to make this dream a reality. This team answered a prayer they had prayed for a long time. They have lived on this rocky soil for many years and did not know when God was going to provide them a home, a mansion as Luis Alfredo called it, a mansion. Mommy we are getting a mansion. In the eyes of this seven year old boy this past week unfolded for him a mansion where he can sleep safely at night and not worry about bug bites. Trevor stepped forward to present the family with a family Bible where the North Americans shared with them their favorite Bible verses. Trevor read from Matthew 28 where he shared God had called them to go and we were obedient to His calling by coming here and working beside each of you to make this dream a reality. Trevor shared how blessed they were to be apart of such an amazing gift from God.
Bert stepped forward to present them with the most beautiful wooden cross he personally made himself for the Perez family. The simplicity of this cross well represented the simplicity and beauty of this family. Bert from what was shared by Mike, team leader, listen to Mike's words and knew exactly what kind of cross to make the Perez family. Sometimes simple is so much more beautiful than elaborate and boisterous. Thank you Bert for the perfect gift for this precious family. Richard stepped forward and shared Jeremiah 29:11 from God's Word. Mike, team leader was wearing a bracelet with this scripture reference on it and ask if they could present this to the family. I said please give this bracelet to Luis, since he is the head of the home. Richard proceeded to pray over the home. Everyone gathered around the home as Richard presented this home to our Lord. As we began this journey praying over the first block we close by laying hands on the final blocks and sealed it with God's blessings for the Perez family.
Natalie came forward to present the key but before she presented the key she shared a few words and some scripture out of Psalm 95:1-7. Natalie shared this is a day of joy. We are honored to give you this key. I pray that this lock and key will give security and safety for your family and home. This key is the only one that will fit in this lock. Just like Jesus is the only way to Salvation. It has been a
pleasure to serve the Lord this week and a true blessing getting to meet your family. Thank you for allowing us to be here along side you this week. Natalie then presented them the key. Luis unlocked his home and his family followed him into their mansion. What a beautiful way to end one amazing week in our first visit to Nacaome. They invited the team in to see their new home as everyone shared hugs and tears of joy for this very special day.
