Let this journey begin. The team traveled about one hour to their project in a quaint little town called Orocuina. They were surrounded on both sides of the road with lots and lots of rolling mountains. God provided us with an amazing traffic jam with a herd of cattle who would not move. So Pastor Carlos gingerly led the way through the herd as Tino followed right close behind. As they traveled they saw okra fields on both sides as they came closer to Orocuina.
But as they entered the quaint town they saw folks busy with their days as they passed right through the middle of the market place. People were busy selling their produce. The hardware stores were busy at work. Everyone was hustling around selling and buying goods from the local venders. Jarod shared one evening how this place was always hopping. The simplicity of this view daily of how they go each day to the square where the vendors are set up to buy their basic needs for the day, not the week, but probably for the day God has given them is humbling to say the least. They are blessed though to be able to buy fresh produce each day to go home to serve to their families. They are blessed to live in a community where there is work in the okra fields to be able to go to the market to provide for their families. This community is abundantly blessed to have all they need for each day God has given them. This team was blessed each day to be able to ride along and see the many blessings in this beautiful place called Orocuina.
