While all the construction was taking place on this small lot, Alicia was going about her daily task of making two thousand tortillas to sell to her neighbors. Petromilio and Alicia have a corn grinding business as well. There was time when he had to stop mixing mescal to help grind corn as Alicia was making tortillas. After she made her tortillas she proceeded to cook lunch for the locals helping build her home. This lady stayed busy all day. The team shared there was a steady stream of people coming to her home to buy the tortillas. This is how she lives from day to day providing meals for her own family. One day the lady with the tub on her head brought her corn with peppers and cilantro on top. She had Alicia mix up some tamales for her family. The team shared how the smell was absolutely delicious. The lady left to go back home and finish making her tamales.
