The Culture

The team experienced a lot of the culture this week.  The melon fields across the dirt road was full of hard workers each day.  Their day started at six in the morning and ended at four in the afternoon.  They did stop long enough to come over to the edge of the melon field to observe the activities going on at Petrilimo and Alicia's house.  They got to experience the vegetable/fruit trucks coming through daily selling to the community.  Each day about four or five boys would make several trips by with a wheelbarrow full of trash taking it to someone to burn for them.  The team watched each day bananas forming on a banana tree.  Each day it took a different form as it continued to grow to ripen size.  Their were chickens all around the property.  But the most amazing visit of all was when a man on a cart with two oxen bringing the last bit of sand to finish the project.  Honduras has so many beautiful means of life they get to experience each day.  Thank you for sharing your culture with each of us this week.

For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
 1 Timothy 4:4
