Fellowship Time

Each afternoon we gathered around the Mt. Horeb Pulperia and Gift Shop to share about everyone's day.  Later in the evening we gathered for dinner and extended our time at the multi purpose building on the front porch for a beautiful sunset and time in God's Word.  There was many amazing devotions each eveing.  Eddie touched on the hymn "Take Time to Be Holy" and he discussed several different verses of this hymn and how important it is when we sing hymns we listen and take heed of the words we sing.  Some of the questions we were asked were, " How much time did we take coming to Honduras?"  How much time did Mike and Ginger take in getting ready for our team to come?"  The most important question was then, "How much time do you spend in God's Word daily and in His presence?"  "Do we take the time we should to be intimate with our Heavenly Father, or are we too busy getting ready to serve HIM?"  Ouch, this is so true sometimes we get too busy doing for Jesus we do not stop to be with HIM quietly in HIS HOLY PRESENCE.   Eddie shared how he knew of Jesus in his head but not in his heart.  He knew who he was before he surrendered his life to his Savior.  Eddie shared how he debated with God and everyone knows this would not work Eddie shared.  We have to give our total being to HIM.  Is that easy to do?  No, it is not but it is when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives and we spend time in grounded in HIS WORD daily, yes daily.  Every day we should start our day in HIS MOST HOLY PRESENCE. God is always there for us if we only allow him to be there for us.  Blessed be the name of my Lord is what we should always be singing.  Blessed be the name of my Lord.  We need to examine ourselves, ask forgiveness of our daily sins because we are saved by God's grace in faith in HIM.
We went into God moments where people had prayers answer the very first day.  Josh shared how he was cutting the block got tired and weary from doing this which is most understandable.  Josh said he removed himself to go and pray for God to give him the strength to do the task God had given him to do.  Josh said within five minutes or so he felt refueled and ready to continue serving the Lord through the block cutting.  Jimmy was so grateful for the breeze God sent through the project about mid moring when everyone was feeling the heat.  God sent them relief.  Brandon had several prayer concerns during the morning and he also removed himself for a time of prayer and God removed the anxiousness he was feeling and put him back on track for what he was in Honduras to do, serve HIM.
Eddie was not feeling well the first day, prior to his devotional, over heating a little.  By the time he was ready to do his devotions God had refueled him as well.  Everyone's God moment was the prayer over the first block.  Anita got a chance to play with the children which is the love of her life.  Jay shared how the whole day was a God moment, but especially the prayer over the first block.  A lot of our God moments today centered around  prayer and how faithful God is to answer our prayers when we reach out to him.  Just like with the hymn, Take time to be Holy" we need to take time to be holy and give all our burdens to the Lord.  Let HIM have them so we can better serve HIM in the way HE has called us to do.  All God's people shouted "AMEN".
