We all gathered around the new home of Omar, Dunio, Shelly and Isai. We started out with Jay reading out of Psalm 127 about who the builder of the home truly is, Jesus Christ. We gathered then around the home as Pastor Neal prayed a prayer of dedication on the first day of this new home and their will be many more special days just like this one. Pastor Neal prayed for Omar to be the head of the house to protect and love his family on a daily basis. He prayed for God's blessing on this home as they raise Shelly and Isai as godly children. After the prayer Pastor Neal presented Omar, the head of his home with a family bible. Pastor Neal shared how this home is a nice gift but this bible is the greatest gift of all because it tells us how to live out our lives daily as believers in Jesus Christ. The bible was then placed in Omar's hand.
Team leader Danny allowed the family to share some words. Dunio shared many thanks to everyone there and how grateful she was to have a permanent place she can call her home. A home where it truly is her family's. She thanked God first of all then Pastor Juan and then the North Americans. Team leader Danny had an awesome idea he gave the key to the home to Pastor Juan to present to Omar. Pastor Juan said a few words of encouragement as well and he placed the key in Omar's hand and said "welcome home". Omar went over to open the door to his new home. The home he worked so hard on for four and half days. The home where he checked every joint to make sure they were smoothed to perfect. A home where when we arrived the morning the roof was going up he and his friend Ravelle was cleaning every piece to get all the dirt and mud off of them. Omar stood in the front door of his home thanking everyone for this beautiful gift with tears rolling down his cheeks. Omar is such a humble and godly man. A man who will take good care of his family just as he took great care of making their home perfect in every way.
