Welcome our first time guest to Mt. Horeb from Element Church, Caleb and Hannah. They are happily married and came together here to serve their Lord. Hannah came with the gift of Spanish where she could speak to the children and adults. This is a prized gift which is a blessing to bring along with you to Honduras. It was a pleasure to watch these two young people happily married serving the Lord together. What a great way to start your marriage by serving HIM.
Hannah also brought another special man with her this week, her father, Greg. Greg is a strong follower of Christ and can profoundly share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hannah and her father share in the gift of music. Hannah sang a beautiful hymn in Spanish during worship service. As I looked around I saw Melissa and Maida singing along with her. It does our heart good to see a father and daughter come together to serve their Lord and Savior. Unlike her father Hannah has a quiet and gentle spirit where her Daddy speaks from the mountain tops about his Lord and Savior. How amazing God creates us all so differently but with the same passion and desire to love HIM.
This sweet family brought everyone but one. But his turn will be here in a few years. Welcome back Ben and Sam for their second time to Honduras. This year they brought along mother, Minnie and sister Rachel. They worked together and separately during this week. It was great to see Minnie and Rachel doing VBS together while Ben and Sam worked diligently on the Sunday School Classrooms. They were all working for the betterment of the children in this precious community which they all fell in love with. Rachel shared how hard it was to leave such sweet people. But all good things must come to an end. It is not good bye it is see you later. If not this side of Glory definitely in Glory one day. One important and most important thing happened this week was Sam rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. Pastor Robert was proud to announce this on the last morning going out to the project. We want to give God all the praise and honor for this amazing time in Sam's life. To have your family with you during this special time on an international mission trip is a very special memory a family will treasure. We are grateful to have served beside you all this week.
Kayla came back after many years being away and we are so grateful she did. She brought with her the two men in her life, her brother, Alex and her boyfriend, Matt. It was a pleasure having these three here serving beside each other and making memories their family back home will be proud of. I shared with Kayla on the last night I bet your mom is so proud of you two being here together like this serving the Lord. She looked at me and simply gave me that beautiful smile she carried every day. She had a sweet spirit about her which I looked forward to each day as she entered the gift shop to get her three sodas for her and her men. Alex came and sat down with those big blue eyes and would share his day with me. But before he shared he always asked me, "Mrs. Ginger, how was your day?" What a blessing to be greeted each after noon by this special young man. Matt had a quietness about him but he had a huge servant heart and did whatever needed to be done to help out his team.
