Block 101

Our new friends learned very quickly on how to lay blocks and mix mortar.  Mr. Mike and Pastor Carlos were great teachers with a lot of patience as they taught our friends a new life skill.  They proceeded to work and I stood back and watch Pastor Carlos walk around the foundation of the home checking each one to see how they were coming along.  Sometimes he would stop and straighten a block or press it down further to the cement but not once did he ever say anything negative to his new friends as well.  They learned quickly and took off with laying their 600 plus blocks to begin making this a house a home.  Friends paired up for one to lay the mud and the other to place the block in place.  Their disarray soon became unity in Christ.  They each did their best work for the kingdom of God on their first day.  I found out just today from one of the team members a lot of these folks did not know each other coming in to this week.  Well I just going to say how God puts us together as a family and how we all become one when we are serving HIM.  This family this week worked amazingly well together and now they are a new family in Christ.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--
John 1:12
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Hebrews 6:10
