The Home Dedication

As always all things must come to an end.  Ray decided to allow the young people on his team to share in the dedication.  We gathered around the house waiting for Mariel and family to join us.  Christian and sister, Paige were discussing the scripture he had chosen to share with the family.  Maya was giving Meida her scripture reference and Caleb put the lock on the house in preparation of handing Mariel the key to his new home.
As the family gathered Christian thank them for allowing his team to join them in building their home.  He was grateful to God for this awesome and humbling opportunity.  He read scripture from God's word to the family out of Ephesians 4:2-4  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Afterwards Maya stepped forward sharing how she was presenting them with God's Word and how each of her team members had sign their name and shared their favorite bible verse.  She hopes they will read the bible daily and raise their family knowing God and His love for them.  She shared scripture out of Ephesians 2:19-22  Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household,  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.  And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
The ladies on the team, Cathy, Judy, Kara, Paige, Maya, Caroline and Kristine sang "Amazing Grace" in Spanish for the family.
Paige asked the family and friends to gather around the home as they laid their hands upon the house to give the home their family blessing of prayer.  Paige did a phenomenal job praying God's blessing upon the house and Caroline shared how she could hear Esmeraldo praying her own prayer to God for her new home.  Tears of joy came from many of us this afternoon as once again God was glorified in this sweet little community called Los Llantitos.
Caleb walked up to Mariel and presented him with the key to his new home.  Caleb shared with the family this key will keep them safe and God's protection will always be with them.  Mariel opened the key to his new home along with his family and his mother.  God is good all the time and all the time God is good.  Thank you First Baptist Church Jacksonville for helping God make a dream come true on August 2.
