Final Devotion

Before our friends left us Judy, mother of Kristine did a tear jerking devotional on how we as parents should pray for our children.  There were eight young adults on this team along with four adults.  Two of the adults Judy and Cathy are mothers to two of the young ladies.  They are also involved in a Moms prayer group back home where they pray for their children together.  Judy shared she found an article recently on how we should pray for our children.  She shared we should not pray for life to be easy for them because then they will not learn to rely on God for their life choices.  It is okay to pray for a godly spouse, a good college of choice and a good career for our children.  But the most important prayer we can pray for our children is they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and allow Him to lead their journey through life with whatever comes their way.  They will rely solely on HIM for their choices in life whatever they may be.  Wow, this was such a blessing to hear as they all head back home to face life challenges in the days ahead.  These young people knowing their parents are praying for them on a daily basis.  What a beautiful gift from God, prayer.
Judy then asked for someone to read Psalm 139::13-16, Kara volunteered reading from God's word.  Then Christian volunteered to ready 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
