As if the day could not get any better it was time to dedicate this home to our Lord in honor of Pastor Darwin, Marie and Vanessa. Pastor Dudley did an amazing job sharing words about his relationship with Pastor Darwin. They met four years ago while Pastor Dudley with another team build Sunday School Classrooms for the church Pastor Darwin is shepherding. Pastor Darwin is an amazing young man with a church family who loves him and Marie and of course little Vanessa. So it was with great joy for this day to come about. Pastor Dudley allowed for Pastor Darwin to share some words as well. The words which came out of such a young man were words of wisdom beyond his young years. Pastor Darwin shared how you all already know how amazing a man Pastor Dudley is. He is a godly man with a humble and gentle spirit. But these are words you already know Pastor Darwin shared as tears proceeded to roll down many cheeks. Pastor Darwin is an amazing man along side of his friend and fellow pastor, Pastor Dudley. How blessed we all were to be a part of such a special day. Pastor Darwin thanked all his family, friends and church members for coming out to help build his home. He called everyone of them by their name. Also he thanked Manuel, one of our staff members who was not there this week but played a huge part in Pastor Darwin getting his home.
The dedication continued as Pastor Dudley presented the joyful couple with a family Bible. Pastor Dudley asked Dana to step forward to present the family with an extra special gift, a cross for their home. Not just any cross but a cross that Dana spent ten hours carving out to perfection for this family. We gather around the home as Pastor Dudley asked Pastor Carlos to pray over the home for his friend and fellow pastor. Darryl at this time presented the lovely couple with the key to their new home. Thank you God for such an amazing time serving you beside some very precious people.
Marie held her new gift of the cross tightly and ever so proudly. Dana followed them into their home to see where they wanted their new gift to be hung. Dana hammered a nail into the concrete wall and gently placed the cross up on the nail. Pastor Darwin and Marie were overflowing with joy of their gift as well as their new home God provided for them. Vanessa and baby sister who is coming soon will have a home where they can grow up feeling secure in a loving neighborhood and a beautiful yard with an amazing backdrop of God's mountains surrounding their home. Thank you God for working out all the details of this week and providing just the right team for the job.
