VBS

During the team's lunch break children started gathering at the front door.  Darryl and Amanda were sitting at the front door of the church watching them approach the door.  Amanda stood up and sang with them Jesus Loves Me in Spanish.  Later David the other child magnet came and sat down with the children at the front door of the church.  The team had brought a stamp to use daily when the children arrived.  I sat there watching David ever so patiently stamp each little hand with his big smile and his compassion for children.  The group began to grow and grow so Telfar proceeded out their to help him out as well.  This was a joy to see these young men loving on this precious little ones.

Amanda wanted a horse shoe shaped setting.  Well after several rearranging of the chairs the children were figuring out what the North Americans wanted.  They gathered up their chairs ready to learn more about Jesus.

Meida led the children in several different songs, Father Abraham, Praise Ye the Lord and Jesus Love Me.  Amanda brought to Honduras the Easter Egg Story.  She had different plastic Easter eggs with  a symbol of Christ death and resurrection.  Each day Amanda had different activities and stories leading up to this last day about Jesus' Resurrection.
After every story the children did a craft and colored a picture before going outside for some futbol, jump rope, Frisbees and bubbles.  This team blessed these children with a lot of hard work prior to coming and the end results were beautiful.
