Serving Our Lord Physcially and Spiritually

The Campbell University Medical Team has been coming to Honduras for four years.  Each year they come on their spring break.  This is not a vacation for these young people.  It is a chance to further their education by administering medical care to the people of Honduras.  This year it was a brand new group of people minus two, team leader Bill and Matt both from the pharmacy school.  They all had just completed a long hard week at school with exams, papers and many other last minute class assignments.  They came already tired but once they entered Mt. Horeb they could relax for the first time in a while.  They came to serve our Lord and Savior through their gifts of medicine, physical therapy and pharmacy skills.  Each individual person on this team brought some amazing gifts to the table.  So join me as we pray up our week as they did each and every morning at the campus and once arriving at the church.  They all came prepared to serve wherever they were needed and this is exactly what each one of them accomplished this week, servant hearts.

We arrived at the church as the church members were busily cleaning all the rooms ready for the doctors and students to set up their clinic.   One team member shared how humbling it was to see the church doing their part to make this week a special and helpful time for all.  The team members unloaded the Kia from the road down through the front yard of the church and entered inside the church area where the Sunday School classrooms are set up.  Each room had ample tables and chairs for everyone.  They provided all our needs and more this week.  Pastor Gorge greeted everyone with a huge small and grateful heart for his community and church family to receive medical care.
The people of La Criba cannot afford or can get to the doctor in the next town because of lack of funds for the bus ride or for the medicines they need.  So this week was a gift from God for the community of La Criba this week.  Thank you Campbell Medical School for taking your time to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in La Criba.
