The Rock

As the roof was going up there was another project taking place.  Amanda had an obsession with rocks as Pastor Hampton did a devotional about rocks and our sin.  So rocks was a big part of this teams week.  They had a lot of rocks to choose from but Amanda picked out this one very special rock and asked everyone to sign it and it was going to be placed a one of the cornerstones of the house.  John 3:16 was etched out into the rock.  Everyone who worked on this home placed their names around the scripture.  

Also while the rock was being signed there was other ministries taking place.  I believe at this point the roof was up as other events started to unfold all around us.  Pastor Darwin, Meida and I were talking about the dedication of the home so he would be prepared for his part in it.  As we were standing there chatting he shared with us his three friends by the motorcycle were not believers.  All week Andie planted and water the seed along with many others on her team for what was about to happen.  We asked Don and Rhonda with the help of Meida to go over to Alexander, Kevin and Johnny to share the greatest gift of all salvation in Jesus Christ.  We all stood back praying and praying over the lives of these young men.  We heard a prayer go up of acceptance in Christ Jesus our Lord.  While this was going on Amanda was teaching Marie how to share the salvation bracelet and they made Marie one as they talked about the many different colors. There was evangelizing going on all around us this day, the last day of our time in Pierre de Agua.  What an amazing way to finish out an amazing week.  The team received three new brothers in Christ.

Once they completed their prayer they walked over towards the team as everyone greeted them with joyful hearts.  It made me think of when someone goes down to the front of church to receive Christ and how others come after worship to welcome them into the family of believers.  We were having church right there on Pastor Darwin's home place.  What a gift from God for Pastor Darwin to receive a new home and his three best friends to receive the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ.  All God's people shouted AMEN!!!
