Families Serving Together

Ray brought a lot of new folks this year and we love them all.  I want to welcome a father and daughter team, Russ and Taylor.  I saw such love and respect for each other from these two throughout the week.  Russ takes extremely amazing care of his baby girl as a godly father.  He took every opportunity to share Jesus in everyday events or opportunities.  Taylor was amazing how she listened and learned from her earthly father as he prepares her to live her life totally for her Heavenly Father.  This is a rare relationship and you both set the example of respect for family to another level.  They worked side by side and separately but the always found their way back together and share about their day together.  I saw it the most at the airport when they were chuckling about something just between them two.  They had been together for eight days and did not grow weary of each other.  Taylor you were a breathe of fresh air for all young people who could learn from you about how to love and respect your parents.

Thank you God for sending this beautiful young couple to Honduras.  Scott and Danielle have only been married a year and come to Honduras together.  What a great example they set for young couples to start out their marriage by serving their Lord and Savior.  They worked with joy and a content heart all week.  Scott learned how to mix mescal the first day and then got promoted to block laying soon after that. God blessed him with some Hondurans who showed up.  Danielle's devotion one evening was on compassion out of Mark 6:34. Compassion is an action word she shared and it is not enough to feel sorry but to take action and show God's love to whoever is in need, physically, emotionally or spiritually.  She used the example of the Good Samaritan.  She shared it takes a lot for us to show compassion.  When Ana served us the enchiladas and pupusas she was showing us compassion for helping her get her home.  So we need to go where it hurts and we will get dirty and that is okay.  We all need to be more like Ana and give until it hurts actually.  Ana gave her all to us and how we were forever changed from this amazing week. I was blessed to sit and talk to Danielle numerous time and her godly wisdom and discernment at a young age is inspiring for the future of this ministry and other journeys of life.  I love Scott quiet sweet smile as he listens more than he speaks, but when he does speak he speaks volumes.  What a godly couple you two are!!!
We love you!!!

How many of you can say you would go on a mission trip for eight days with an in-law.  Well Ray can surely say it.  He brings is dear precious sweet mother-in-law each year with him.  Mrs. Becky is a young lady who is full of godly wisdom and when she did her devotional on the multi-purpose porch one evening Mike and I looked at each and said "Wow".  She spoke volumes of how this trip will effect you if you only allow your heart to do so and how when you go home it may be a little hard on you as you reunite back to "your world".  Mrs. Becky we are so blessed to hear your knowledge and love for your Lord and Savior.  Mrs. Beck shared how she wanted to hold on to Ana's family, to the different smells and to those beautiful children.  She does not want to loose what God gave her this past week.  Memories which can change us if we only allow God to let it happen. Mrs. Becky shared once we go back home nothing should change, we are still missionaries but just on a different mission field.  Share Jesus' love with whoever we run into and bring the lost to Christ.  Take the time to look at the eyes of whoever God puts in your path, she shared a small magnifying glass with each of us and told us to look closer and show the compassion that Danielle shared during her devotional.  Baily was taken back by Mrs. Becky's hand out for each of us.  Mrs. Becky took time before coming to prepare her devotional and prayed over her time to share with us.  She was intentional about her mission trip to Honduras long before she came.  She prepared herself for what God had instore for her this week.  Mrs. Becky worked hard for her Lord and she would not let her young age stop her from serving HIM.  So it doesn't matter how young or old you are if you are willing to get out of your box and go God will use you in a mighty way just as He used Mrs. Becky this past week.
We love you Mrs. Becky!!!
