Every team who comes to Honduras falls in love with Honduras only if their heart is ready to receive many blessings beyond any picture or words. Where do I start with our beautiful culture God has blessed us with on a daily basis. The food of course is absolutely delicious in every way imaginable. Each day we got blessed with a special treat, rice and pork one day which was outstanding and the meat was so tender to the taste. The team got the ultimate blessing of all a fried fish plate with chismo and tostalitas. This is a huge sacrifice for Yobani's family to provided such an extravagant meal but this was their way of saying thank you to the North Americans for helping them make their dream become a reality. Of course at Mount Horeb we are blessed with God's very own creation, Titone, Nevia, Carolina and Lassie who bring such joy and entertainment to whoever is around. God blessed the team one day with a beautiful rainbow. It is to go without saying Meida is one of our most treasured blessings of all. She is so much more than the team translator. How she protects and cares for the North Americans when they do not even realize it is simply God living out in her life with compassion and contentment topped with abundant joy. Thank you God for our Honduran Culture which you have blessed so many with each and every day of the year.
