Five Days of VBS

Kayla shared the story with Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors. First Kayla shared the bible story with the children after Meida opened the time up in songs while waiting for the children to arrive. The children took a paper bag and colored Joseph's coat onto the bag. While those were making their crafts there was others coloring the picture about Joseph's coat.  There was some who went outside for recreational time.  Each day the team of ladies broke up into three or four stations and provided these little ones with some amazing skills and talents in VBS.

Shanon shared the story of Zacchaeus.  Once again Meida led the children in music as they all came from all directions.  She shared the story and at that point the children broke up into their different stations.  They colored a picture of Zacchaeus.  Shanon led a craft where the children made a pretend bag but there is one special coin they all received that money cannot buy and that was John 3:16.  This is the special coin and only Jesus can give you this special gift of salvation.  Money cannot buy your salvation.  The greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ and Zacchaeus was blessed that day in the tree that Jesus wanted to go home with him.  Are you at home with Jesus?  Does Jesus live within you?  If not I pray you will receive the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ.

Hannah shared the story of Jonah and the Whale.  Meida led the children in music and Hannah then shared the story.  They broke up into their different stations.  Hannah took a blue piece of construction paper and white chalk and showed the children how to draw their very own whale.  The children enjoyed bubbles this day as well as jump rope and Frisbees.  Of course they all enjoyed coloring a picture of Jonah and the Whale.

Rachel shared the story of Daniel and the Lion Dens.  What a creative craft of paper plates and yellow and orange strips which I am sure all these lovely ladies cut out by hand and drew a face of a lion.  Others colored while the ladies help glue on the strips for the lion's hair.  I am sure this craft was a huge success for these little ones.  They do not get to do crafts as we see in Sunday School here.  They do not even get to color a picture.  They go to Sunday School to here the bible story and memory the verse about the bible story before returning to worship. So this week was a big treat for each of them and they got five days of these joyful times.

Mrs. Sandy did the plan of salvation for the children.  The children made a salvation bracelet which took everyone's help in accomplishing this task.  There was even some of the young men who came through VBS this day to help out Mrs. Sandy.  Thank you Mrs. Sandy for orchestrating all of this and thank you to Shanon, Kayla, Rachel and Hannah for preparing all you did for your day of VBS.  These children will be forever blessed.  God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
