Miriam had a quiet beautiful kitchen area with a lot of history sitting around it. The water pot she could not tell me how old it was. It had been around as long as she could remember. But the little glass plate had been apart of her life for over twenty years. It was her grandmother's plate and now she using each and every day. But she shared with team member Sarah how she protected it like she would her very own two eyes. This plate is a treasure to her and she takes great pride in its care. The oven outside her kitchen area is used only when she has the money to make bread and she turns around and sells it to her neighbors. Some of the team enjoyed her delicious cuisine each day at lunch. She served them with her beautiful smile and please know her sharing her food was a huge sacrifice for her and her family. The team was very humbled by her generosity.
