We started the journey to Monajares to work beside Pastor David and his church family. This team came prepared to go door to door sharing the word of Jesus Christ. Their paths they would cross would be long dirt roads or even going into town to visit some families. But whatever the task they were ready to go and do God's work. Kaye and Meida greeted and shared what their expectations were for the day ahead. We gathered in a circle to pray up the events ahead.
Mike introduced Kaye, the team leader and she proceeded to allow her team to introduce themselves to the Honduran church family. At this time the Hondurans introduced themselves and each day God blessed the team with three new faces eager to go door to door sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with each one of their neighbors and friends. Pastor David had locations prepared in advance for each day and this would keep the three teams busy until around lunch time each day. As the team prepared to head out they did not know what God had in store for them. On the first night of devotions Glenn shared about having the peace of God not human peace. God's peace will never fail us.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
