Lunchtime Devotional

Each day after lunch the team had a devotional lead by the three pastors. First day Pastor Robert shared a devotional out of Numbers 15:37-41.  He shared how God took His people out of Egypt from their bondage of slavery, their oppression and the evils of the world.  Just like God's people we too can be brought out of bondage by receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Today if you have received the sweetest gift of all and are saved by God's grace and His Son's who shed His blood on the cross I would love to share a blue rope with you to wear as a symbol of your faith in Jesus.  If you are still in Egypt and do not know our Lord and Savior you can not wear this blue rope because you are still in bondage to sin just like the Egyptians.  Pastor Robert challenged everyone not to let this day pass by without asking Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.  He shared how in the Old Testament the people would get up in the morning and put on their robes which had the blue tassels hanging off of them which reminded them of God's love for them.  During the day while they are out in the street they saw others with the blue tassels hanging from their robes.  It was a reminder all day of God's provisions for them.  In the evening when they returned home and settling in for the night they once again saw the blue tassels hanging from their robes as a reminder of God's love and promise for them.  Today if you are a Christian and need a reminder of God's love and provisions for us get you a blue rope and tie it upon your belt loop or your wrist.  If you are still in Egypt I encourage you today if you are reading this to please receive the greatest gift of a lifetime, Jesus Christ.  Jesus can free you from you bondage of sin, your oppression or from the darkness of this world and bring you into the light, which is every lasting life in eternity.  This journey is short here and do not miss a chance to receive Jesus Christ.  Tomorrow may be too late.

The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.
You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.'"
Numbers 15:37-41
