Pastor Oscar and Pastor Robert

 

The first day of the project Pastor Oscar and Pastor Robert bonded and became a team.  They worked side by side for three days.  Pastor Robert shared how he learned so much from the experience of working beside Pastor Oscar those three days.  The first day they worked all day together.  On the second day as Pastor Robert arrived on the project site Pastor Oscar motioned for Pastor Robert to work with him.  When you are serving the Lord there is not any language barriers.  God takes care of all barriers big or small.  These two gentlemen became kindred spirits which both will treasure for the rest of their days here this side of heaven.  We were grateful for Pastor Oscar's skills to help the team real their goal of building Pastor Carlos' home.  We were grateful for Pastor Robert's time of sharing God's word every chance he got.  On Sunday evening he shared about the obedience of Abel and what a legacy he left behind.  He challenge his team members as well as all of us, "What legacy will you leave behind on this earth?"  Will others remember you for what you had or for who you served?  Will people remember you for your righteousness as Abel did or for the career you pursued and accomplishment in the worldly standards?   What will we leave after we are gone? 

 

By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
