Worship Under The Mango Trees

We had a very special treat on Sunday.  Jose for the first time in six years stayed over to go to church with the team.  There was one small problem on this Sunday morning.  Mike and I thought Jose was picking up Maida on the way and Jose thought we were picking up Maida on the way to church.  We all got there at different times and there was not Maida no where to be found.  Mike and I got back in the truck and took off to get Maida for worship.  We got Maida and got back to the mango trees before a lot of the church members arrived.  God is good all the time.  John gave Maida the paper for the order of service and off Maida went with it.  Maida did not skip a beat.  She led the group into service and Pastor John opened the morning in prayer.  We had the honor of hearing Clem's testimony of how one day he realized he was not living his life fully for the Lord.  He gave his life over to God and began living a life worthy of his calling.  Jesus died for my sin and your sin.  We need to live our lives with the upmost respect and honor to our God who is King of kings and Lord of all.  We need to give HIM all the honor and glory for all things.  Well then we were doubly blessed when Jose shared his testimony.  Jose challenged the men in the audience to be the head of their house and to lead their family as well as the community in a godly fashion.  There are a lot of children here who watch you on a daily basis.  Jose challenged them to set the example of a godly man so the children will see Jesus in each of them.  The children to up and performed "Jesus Loves Me"  in English, Spanish and Sign Language.  What a gift from God to hear those angels singing how much Jesus truly loves us because the bible tells us so.  AMEN...

The group got to get up and sing "Victory in Jesus" for the congregation.  The congregation joined in and sang along with the North American team, Jose and Maida.  What another blessing we received under the mango trees.
Pastor John got up and spoke out of Matthew 9:9 about Matthew the tax collector.  He shared how the people did not like him because he cheated the people. But Jesus chose Matthew to follow HIM.  He told Matthew to come and follow me.  Matthew got up from the tax collectors booth and left everything to follow Jesus.  Then Jesus, the tax collectors and sinners were dining together.  The Pharisees could not believer Jesus was dining with all those sinners. On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick."  Like Jesus we are to reach out to all people. Like Jesus we need to help those who are in need.  We live in a dark world.  The only way to see the light to be a part of the LIGHT is through the cross of Jesus Christ.  Jesus died a brutal death for all our sins.  His death on the cross was for you and me.  Pastor John encouraged everyone to look for the LIGHT  through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.  Pastor John with the help of Katie, Ray and Lynda did an awesome visual of us colored in gray in the middle was the cross and to get to God our Light which was yellow is through the cross.  Thank you Harrison for making the cross for Pastor John to use during the sermon on Sunday morning,  All God's people said AMEN!!!!
