Marie and Family

Marie and her husband, Augustine with their three children, David, age 11, Cyndi, age 5 and Diego, age 3 along with her mother Marie won the hearts of our team serving in Pavana this week.  Cyndi's smile you will see continuous through out this blog was contagious of all who came across her path.  David and his sad eyes became open with joy on the second day as he saw these many blocks becoming a home for him and his family. He became closer to the  North Americans as the days progressed.  His sad eyes became full of laughter and joy.   Diego was a pistol from the get go and he kept everyone hopping with his very presence.  Marie's mother would watch from afar as her daughter was getting a much needed home.  The pile of wood above was the first home and its remains.  Marie made a make shift home while her new home was being constructed.  This is where they stayed up until a few days ago.  God blessed her with a home where they all will be safe and dry during the rainy season.  What a blessing this family was to each of us North Americans.  We saw true joy in this family you cannot find back home.  Thank you Marie and family for exhibiting true joy.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
