This team brought along a medical team with a lot of talent. Bob and Josiah each evening practiced songs they were going to play in church on Sunday for worship. Josiah was in the beginning stages of learning how to play the guitar. Bob was an excellent teacher and Josiah was a quick learner. As the week progressed Pauline joined in with the gentlemen to sing "Shout to The Lord", "How Great Thou Art" and "I'll Fly Away", Pastor Pedro's favorite from years ago. The precious part of them singing each night they were learning these songs in Spanish. The team got before the church on Sunday to sing all of these songs. Thank you team for all the hard work put into learning these songs in Spanish.
Also in the evening the team found time to reflect and relax from their day. Ellie requested a Honduran cultural thing, coconut water. So new team member Bob, got to try his first fresh coconut. Most of the team enjoyed coconut. This week was so much more than a medical team and we are grateful to each of you who let God use your gifts and talents daily. You all deserved to chill and reflect on your day which was full of many God moments.
Tradition has it the Philippinos and the Indio cooked for us on our last night in Choluteca. The appetizer was fried shrimp heads. I must say this was a yummy dish. Thank you three for all the hard work putting together such an amazing cuisine. It was all very delicious.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
