Registration and Pharmacy

Team leader Steve gave our registration crew, Ryan and his wife Ellie, and Dan a quick lesson on how to use the many different devices at the registration table.  Outside on the front porch of church was Ronny and a very lovely lady who checked in the patients before going to the triage.  Ronny shared with me how he enjoyed helping pre-register the patients.  Ronny was hesitate when asked to help with the children during VBS.  Ronny made a new friend.  Ronny was very committed to the ministry but was star struck by the beauty of his helper. Ronny and friend pre-registered for the next day at least sixty folks or more daily.   The triage would have all their patients checked in and ready to be seen by the doctors by lunch time or before.  They worked hard as a trio to get everyone checked in and ready to be seen.  They were very blessed to have Ellie, who was bilingual to help out with the translation between English and Spanish.  Her gift was greatly appreciated as it helped the process to run smoother.  The church members were very blessed to have these three folks to be the first North American faces to be seen before going to the doctors.  They brought joy and laughter to their patients which help relieve any tension of what was ahead for them.  Thank you Ryan, Ellie and Dan for doing an amazing job.  I also want to thank Pastor Pedro for all his hard work to have the medical clinic running so smoothly.  His church family really stepped up to the plate and did an amazing job.

Debby was put in charge of the pharmacy.  From what team member Mateo shared "She was a machine".  Debby had a lot of help who were willing to do whatever to get this pharmacy up and functional by 9:00 AM.  Mateo, Pauline, Derek, Bob and Josiah worked diligently doing exactly what Debby asked of them.  Mike was instructing Debby on some of his own personal medical skills as she smiles. Debby runs an amazing well orchestrated pharmacy in Honduras.  Thank you Debby for your hard work and effort that was put into the first part of the day.  At 9:00 AM sharp they were ready to open the medical clinic for service.  Job well done good and faithful servants. Maida was in charge of giving out the medicines to each patient.  Santiago was her assistant during the week.  He was a young person in the church who volunteered the whole week to serve HIS Lord and his church family.  Jocelyn, Pastor Pedro's daughter also worked hard along with so many more to help the medical clinic run smoothly.  Debby even mentioned how Mike and Ginger turned them loose trusting them to the task at hand.  Mike and Ginger knew Pastor Pedro and his capabilities and we knew our Maryland family and their capabilities.  Everyone was blessed all the way around this week.
