VBS and More

Each afternoon after lunch and triage shut down the church was opened up for VBS for the children.  The team learned quickly how awesome Matt and Bob were with the children.  Pauline and Josiah got down and colored and became children themselves again.  Dan shared he truly enjoyed the time with the children.  Even though he did not think of himself one who could do well with children but with these little ones he had a ball. Ellie was there to translate which was most important since Maida was in the pharmacy.  I appreciate the entire team getting on the floor with the children and loving them.  Ryan sat in the middle of the floor while entertaining one little one and helping her with her activity.  All this was going on while the medical clinic was continuing.

The waiting area was under some trees next to the Sunday School classrooms.  All the practicing of songs at the mission house paid off.  The North Americans and Hondurans gathered around the patients and sang to them in Spanish.  Thank you Ellie, Dan, Pauline, Josiah, Bob and Ronny who led the music as the patients joined in as well.  Pauline later with Ronny's assistance told a bible story to the patients and later they were able to color their picture.  Unbelievable all the amazing events taking place on this church campus this week.

Also there was a game of futbol daily with the children.  This is always a given on just about every team.  I believe my North American team got beat which is normally the case.  Good sportsmanship gentlemen.

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there."
