Let God Get to Work

As I have shared God blessed this team with a lot of help from the local church and community.  Men and women came forward to help Hilda get the job done.  Team leader Gregg shared how overwhelming it was to show up on the job site to numerous folks there to help a friend get a home.  Some folks who showed up came from another church family in Colonia San Pablo Ciudad Neuvo.  The entire team was in awe of how quickly and smoothly the home on the first day got its five courses up and the doors put into place.  As we all know who have been before the house will get built if we are willing and able to come and serve HIM not ourselves in this beautiful place called Honduras.  Team member Mark was humbled in how Hilda went to the effort to provide us with a toilet for the week and the joy which was on her face, that she could do this for the team. Sandy was in awe of Hilda and her excitement of getting a home for her family.  God is so faithful in the big and little things.  The team was providing Hilda with a home and she gave her best in providing the team with a toilet for their use for the week.
Everyone pitched in and worked diligently along beside their new found friends in Christ.  We learned earlier this year the gentlemen helping Hilda are Christians and love serving their Lord.  How we as Christians can learn true service from our brothers and sisters here in Honduras.  We think we are coming here to save them but if our hearts are open they may very well can save us if we allow God to work through during our week in Honduras.
Team leader Boyce's devotional touched on this somewhat as we are having hard times back home but if we would only allow God to use us and be like our brothers and sisters here in Honduras and do the best with what we have and  use our faith to survive on a daily basis our world would be a better place to live.  Let others see Jesus in our daily actions and love others as Jesus has loved us.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
