Many Jobs Before the First Block

After the introductions everyone started on getting the first block ready for prayers.  As I shared about how these lovely ladies from the church came out to help with the meals the gentlemen of the church came out as well to help their neighbor and brother in Christ get a home.  There was two families helping who received their home two years ago through NCBM.  So they knew the excitement and hard work which goes into this process.  When we got to the job site and saw familiar faces from two years passed my heart was warmed.  I can remember the delicious crowder peas Mrs. Suzanna cooked.  I remembered how much one family's father loved his two little girls.  The team shared this week how they could tell how loved this father was by his two little girls and how hard the church family worked together to help give Jose and Victoria a home where they will safe and dry during the rainy season.  Jose did not have to work on the first day of construction so he helped his family and worked very hard on his new home.  Jose, the father, walked around in awe of what was taking place.  The four corners got leveled and the foundation was solid materially and spiritually as they were getting close to laying down the first block.  The street was turned into the mescal center.  There was very limited space on this project for materials.  So they had to take the mescal to the road. Passer byers and neighbors were understanding about the road being blocked with mescal.  This is just the way it is here, we worked together rather Christian or not.  The Hondurans help each other out where they can.

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
John 15:9
