After the Women's Conference the ladies all walked towards Victoria's new home to help celebrate in the dedication. They walked proudly with their new bags in hand and chattering all about their previous time at church. We arrived as the men were waiting patiently. Jose, father had treated all the men to cokes and crackers while waiting on the ladies. We gathered around Jose and Victoria's new home as Pastor John proceeds with the ceremony of the home dedication.
Pastor John thanked the family for allowing his church family to be a part of such a special time in their lives. Grateful for God allowing them to come and be obedient to God's calling. Pastor John read from Philippians 2. Pastor John asked the family if they had any words to share with the group. Jose stepped forward with his hand folded together in front of his chest and humbling shared he did not think he would ever receive a home in his life time. God is faithful and Jose thanked the team for living their homes and jobs to come provide his family with a home. He thanked his church family for coming out to help his family get a home. Victoria stood with tears of joy running down her beautiful face. Everyone at this time laid hands on the home as Pastor John prayed a prayer of blessings on this new home. After the prayer each family member was presented with a bible. The big moment came where Pastor John presented Jose with the key to his new home. Once he, Victoria and Patricia entered their Honduran brothers and sisters filed in behind them to take a look at the new home God had provided for their friends. A little later the team members joined them and they sang hymns of praise unto the Lord while standing inside this house which will soon become a house of God, a home.
