Time of Prayer

As the many jobs started coming together it came time to give God full glory for this week ahead.  Pastor John gathered us around the family as he prayed for the representation of this first block.  Let this be a symbol of God's foundation in this home where it will reach out into the community around Jose and Victoria.  Let this be a strong home full of God's love and then love for many others.  This time in the week is most meaningful in we let God start this week long journey and we sealed it with His love on the last day as we pray the prayed of dedication.  We are here yes to build a home but more so we are here to lift up the One who brought us here, Jesus Christ.  HE is the only reason we are here mixing mescal, cutting blocks, laying blocks and so many other jobs to make this house a home.  We are here because HE died for our sins.  HE laid down HIS life for you and for me.  HE gave HIS all why can't we give our all.  Was it hot?  Oh yes, everyday.  Were we in our comfort zone, probably not.  BUT HE laid down HIS life for you and me.  The least we could do is go and share the good news of Jesus Christ to the utter most parts of the world.  This first prayer was the beginning of an amazing week for the North Americans and the Hondurans.  To God be glory.

One evening during devotions this was a topic about Jesus laying down HIS life for us.  We need to live our lives as HE did.  Carol and Katie shared a beautiful song called "How Beautiful".  It talks about beautiful is the body of Christ.  We are the hands and feet of Jesus. Then Carol and Katie led us into partaking of the Lord's Supper.  What a humbling and heartfelt service.  Carol shared we are using what we have grape drink and a tortilla.  We broke bread (tortilla) and drank of His blood(grape drink).  As we set in the multipurpose building sharing in this service you could feel the presence of God.  A building does not make a church.  It is the people who make the church.

How Beautiful the hands that served
The Wine and the Bread and the sons of the earth
How beautiful the feet that walked
The long dusty roads and the hill to the cross
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How Beautiful the heart that bled
That took all my sin and bore it instead
How beautiful the tender eyes
That choose to forgive and never despise
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

And as He lay down His life
We offer this sacrifice
That we will live just as He died
Willing to pay the price
Willing to pay the price

How Beautiful the radiant bride
Who waits for her Groom with His light in her eyes
How Beautiful when humble hearts give
The fruit of pure lives so that others may live
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How beautiful the feet that bring
The sound of good news and the love of the King
How Beautiful the hands that serve
The wine and the bread and the sons of the Earth
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ
This song is from the album "The Ultimate Collection-Twila Paris
