A house does get built

During the week, the 800 blocks went down, 52 bags of cement were mixed and a lot of sweat equity was put into Maria's home.  But at the end of the day the team can truthfully say there was so much more built this week.  They enjoyed the beautiful Honduran children.  They became a new family themselves. There is four different churches represented here and they are now one in Christ's family.  We never knew this team would be beyond blessed with lots of help from their brothers and sisters of Honduras.  The house is just the tool to be able to share the love of Jesus Christ with their new friends.  Each day they were right on time with the progression required to build this home in five days. Everyone found their project  and got the job done.  Reba and Penny were able to fill the joints for at least two days.  As it got higher up Betty Lynn and other team members pitched in to fill the joints.  Jose and boys mixed the mescal each and everyday.  Penny had a young man helping her as she climbed higher.  Gordon took over cutting block for the rest of the week.  Ron and Ken laid blocks up high as well.  John was a blessing from God as he translated.  Maida was grateful for John because she had her hands full keeping the children entertained.  Every one pitched in including Maurice with his water and Gatorade.  It was beautiful how this house has now become a home for Maria and Juan Carlos and their family.  Now when the rainy season finally arrives they will be dry for the first time in over forty years.  They will keep the existing home and use it for their kitchen area.  Their kitchen is quaint and cozy.  It is so inviting as you enter the door and see where Maria has cooked for her family for forty years.  What a heritage to pass down to your family.

The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you."
Psalm 102:28
