The first morning as the team prepared and prayed to go out Pastor Joey took the time to have a session with the four translators who were they to serve beside the team members. Pastor Joey brings twelve people each year and breaks them up into groups of four with three North Americans in each team. This year the team was blessed to have our boss, Mark Abernathy as one of their twelve team members. Outside in the courtyard Pastor Joey proceeds to share the evanga cube with the four translators to rely the message of Jesus Christ. Pastor Joey's compassion of sharing the gospel with the four was beautifully displayed. He asked them did they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ before he went any further. They all said yes except for one. The answer was "I go to church and believe in God." Do not get me wrong it is great to go to church, but church is not going to get you into Heaven and believing in God is definitely important. BUT the only way to God our Father is through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. The bible is very specific about this in John 3:16. Pastor Joey continued to share with the four they were all are apart of this team. Without your help we could not do what God has called us all to do. You are not our servants but a crucial part of our team. Without our translators we could not carry out God's work here in Honduras. They are a huge blessing to this ministry. Thank you God for providing us with just the folks we need to carry out your Kingdom work here on earth.
