Home Dedication

All good things must come to an end.  Tears flowing as the home was dedicated.  Juan Carlos cried tears of joy as he had waited two years for this day to arrive.  His home of forty years under those 13 plus mango trees now had an added addition.  This addition will provide safety and shelter from the elements.  Juan Carlos was humbled by the generosity shown through the North Americans this week.  Maria did not want them to go home.  She wanted them to stay with her a little longer.  She enjoyed the laughter of everyone for five days.  Maria and Juan Carlos' front yard is always got children playing in front of it as they welcome them graciously to have a place to play.  Eduardo and Omedia stood back in awe as they were also getting a new home.  Omedia cooks the meals for 83 year old grandmother each day.  This family has tight commitment to each other and their neighbors as well.  So this home will be a beacon for all those who enter it.
Ron, team leader shared some of this in the opening of the dedication.  Followed by his wife Reba, who shared about how their home was open to the children like Jesus said in the bible about the little children.  In Genesis God shared about the beginning and how it was created.  Well now Maria and Juan Carlos have a new beginning with their new home which was created by God this past week.
Ken gathered everyone around to pray over the home as each person placed their hands upon the house.  Ken's prayer included every single job which took place during the week.  He praised God for all the details of the week.  How beautifully said was this prayer of dedication.  Betty Lynn brought Maria close to her to present her with the key to her new home.  As she opened the door she would not enter it quiet yet.  She wanted to be dried and ready. She said I will wait for three days then enter my new home.

"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24:15
