God moments

As the week continues the team and church members go out to share the plan of salvation with the folks of Pavana.  Each evening the team would come in with their stories to tell.  Some where praises and some were ones needing much prayer.
Garry met an 18 year old man who had just recently moved to this community by himself.  Garry shared his testimony with the young man.  As Garry was sharing the young man started sweating profusely.  As Garry continued to talk his sweating got much worse.  At this time Nellie shared the evangi cube with this young man.  At this time the boy accepted Christ and immediately he quit sweating and you see a peace come over this young man.
Pastor Joey shared how he and his team visited a lady who God had already been working on.  She shared with Pastor Joey how she had a dream about a man riding on a black horse.  Pastor Joey shared with her how one day their will be a man riding up on a white horse, Jesus and there is a black horse as well, Satan.  At that point she shared how she had a bad gambling problem.  The point of addiction.  This is when Jose, our bus driver, shared his testimony about his addiction to alcohol fifteen years ago and how God removed that addiction from his life.  Jose shared how peaceful is life is now without his addiction.

Stacy shared how her team had spoken to a lady about the plan of salvation and she would not have any of it.  She was not interested so they continue their day down the dirt road to another home.  As they entered this lady's yard there stood the other lady talking to this lady at her fence.  So Stacy and her team shared the gospel with this lady who was already a Christian.  Stacy shared with her how she needed to share her faith in Christ with her lady friend standing at the fence.  She needs Jesus too!  This team put a lot of the responsibility on this community of how they should be leading their lost friends to Christ.

Janelle shared how the church members told her they were grateful her team came to go out and share the gospel with their community,

Nellie's team visited one older gentleman who immediately Nellie knew he was a Christian by the glow on his face.  This was an encouragement for Nellie and her team.

Martin shared on the last day all their visits were God moments.

Tammy shared they went to visit one of the translators father.  Ullylesus said he was not certain if he father was a Christian or not.  With great relief his father shared he was a Christian and how Jesus was his Lord and Savior.  There was a sigh of relief go over Ullylesus' face when he heard his father speak those words.  So they moved on to his aunt's home and led her to Christ.

Garry shared how one lady and daughter were not Christians and she asked the team to pray for her son who was not a Christian.  Garry shared with her it is necessary that you and your daughter accept Christ as well.

Raymond was able to share the gospel with an auto mechanic.  This is Raymond's trade back home.  He used his occupation as a tool to share with this gentleman. Stacy was able to share the evangi cube with this gentleman.  There is one small obstacle here, the gentleman is blind.   He shared with Stacy he accepted Christ in 2009 but left the church and he knew if he would die today he would go to Hell.   The man knew the scripture.  He had the head knowledge just not the heart knowledge.  He is eighteen inches from seeing Heaven when he dies unless receives Christ fully head and heart.

Kim, Michael and Raymond one day visited a very strong and devout Catholic lady.  The lady was very kind and welcomed them in her home.  Mike shared the gospel with her.  She kept asking them to you want me to leave my church.  Raymond was inviting her to come to Emanuel Baptist Church.  Michael always led her back to Jesus and not what church she goes to.  It is not about the church, it is about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ..

On "hump day" Pastor Joey shared some scripture out of Proverbs 16:1-9.  Perfect scripture for the rest of the week.  He shared it is not about us but about God.  The words which come from our mouths should be that of God.  We should commit our ways to him and our plans will succeed.  In verse one it says to the humans belongs the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer from the tongue.  Pastor Joey encouraged his team as the week slowly comes to an end to remember who we are here serving and it is HIM who speaks through us.

Raymond shared in his devotional the next night John 21, "Follow Me".  This was what we were called to do Follow Jesus this week.  This team found joy in serving God this week.  There was a quote Raymond shared at the end of his devotional, " We are not defined by the journey we take, we are defined by where the journey takes us."  Raymond ask us in the beginning of his devotional how do you think people will remember us.  What will be on our tombstone when we die?  This is a good question for all Christians.

Michael shared how he enjoyed watching the Honduran church members share their testimonies with their neighbors.  How they used the evangi-cube and they step up to the plate and shared the gospel of Jesus with their friends and neighbors.  Edwin especially did an amazing job sharing the gospel.

Kim said she enjoyed watching one of the church members, Ollando, sharing the evangi cube with the children at the church.

On the last day the team got to meet our five year old friend, Martha who has five children.  Martha travels miles everyday up and down that dirt road and on the main highway.  The team had heard about Martha earlier in the week and finally got to meet her and share the gospel with her.  We love you our five year old friend, Martha.

During the week the team led ten people to Christ and had numerous rededications.  But most of all planted many seeds for the Emanuel Baptist Church to follow up on.

To humans belong the plans of the heart,
but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.
All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.
The Lord works out everything to its proper end
even the wicked for a day of disaster.
The Lord detests all the proud of heart.
Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for;
through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.
When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way,
he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
Better a little with righteousness
    than much gain with injustice.
In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps.
Proverbs 16:1-9
