Each day the four teams broke up and went in many different directions. Near the end of the week one of the teams was driven to their location because of the distance. The community of Pavana goes down a long dirt road from the main highway going into Choluteca. Leigh shared one day she saw the main highway from where she was standing sharing the gospel. This team covered every mile of this community. This week was a challenge for our North American brothers and sisters. They met a lot of folks who were devout Catholics. Who thought by their good works they would go to Heaven. They did not believe Jesus was their only way to Heaven. But this team shared the story of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation to over 80 homes. They have now heard it and the seed was planted it is up to these folks whether they will received the greatest gift of all, Jesus. Some even thought because they had material possessions they were saved because of what Jesus had given them. They were boasting of their earthly treasures. Sadly this is how we think in North America as well. The more we have the more blessed we are. Instead of relying on Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we rely on our stuff to make us happy. Jesus Christ is our only hope of true joy, peace, hope and HIS graced in this world.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whosever will believe in HIM will have everlasting life.
John 3:16
