Victoria was victorous

We had one first timer who came with the New Hope College team and I would like to introduce Victoria.  Victoria came on board with a small handicap.  She had thrown her shoulder out on Monday before Wednesday's arrival to Honduras.  Victoria was determined she was coming to Honduras anyway.  Some folks said what will you be able to do.  Victoria said God will find something for me to do.  Victoria helped Mr. Mike chipped out the blocks after they were cut.  She filled the joints with mescal.  She kept everyone hydrated. Victoria helped the daughter, Jessica, with her homework.  She looked at me on the last day and asked if she could wash the doors to get the mud off.  All these tasks helped her team a lot but that was not the reason God sent Victoria to Honduras to serve HIM.  On Sunday the team was gracious enough to ride out to Las Cabasas to check on a foundation for home we are building in late June.  As we entered the community and turned down the dirt road towards the family's home some of the children came to their fences in front of their homes to greet us.  They followed our vehicle down the dirt road till we arrived at the family's home.  We all got out and Mike and I proceeded to visit with the community.  There is one little girl, named Stephanie, who is "special" one of the moms said.  She followed us wherever we went.  I noticed Stephanie was walking hand in hand with Victoria.  They were connected from the minute they met.  Victoria made Stephanie feel very special and important.  I shared with Victoria later how I had never seen anyone take the time she did with Stephanie on that Sunday afternoon.  The two young ladies became one in the Lord and this is why Victoria came to Honduras this week.  Victoria gave a little girl who is shunned by her peers, because she is a little different from everyone else, a memory she will treasure the rest of her life.  Thank you Victoria for giving unconditionally of yourself for this sweet little girl named Stephanie.  Thank you for sharing the true love of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14
