Also each day during VBS Julie led the children in their memory verse of the day. She put the scripture up on the wall with some special gum glue. The children learned the verse and then recited it back to Julie. During the process they would remove one strip at a time so they could not see the scripture but that did not stopped this little ones. They knew these bible verses. Each day they went back to the day before and recited the others until by the end of the week they had five Bible verses memorized. But the biggest impression of them all was when the children recited Psalm 23 for the group the very first day of VBS. This was a humbling and honorable moment how the churches here are teaching these children God's word at an early age. They know God's word from memory and now they have these verses in their hearts.
