The fourth team, New Hope Baptist Church Youth finished the job God called each of them to do. They gathered inside the church and sang hymns led by Saul and other church members. During the week one of the team members, Justin, made friends with a child there who on Sunday asked Justin why he did not give his testimony. The child wanted to hear his new friend's story of his life. Justin said not this time. So as time came for the dedication God was tugging as Justin's heart about sharing his story. Wow, how beautiful this is for God to tug at your heart and nudge to get up and talk about how HE has worked in your life. Justin took the plunge and shared his testimony. Justin shared later he had only met this child for a brief time and this child showed so much interest in his life. How humbling this was for him and to be more aware of others and their lives. We all have a story if we would only just take the time to share our story. We all should be proud of talking about what Jesus has done in and through our lives. Thank you Justin for taking the plunge and making one little boy very happy but most of all you made God so proud that day. Another team member John Scott shared his joy of serving once again here where he always sees the joy of Jesus Christ. Pastor Brian spoke a few words of gratitude.
Carlos got up and shared the joy from his heart how he watched all of this come together in the last five years. How he was humbled in being a small part of God's big plan. Five years ago Carlos was a generous man in allowing us to use his cow pasture for VBS but now he radiates and is joyful in being a part of God's big plan. Sylvia got up to share some words as well. Getting to know Sylvia in the last month has been a treat in itself. The community and church family has been very generous in allowing Sylvia and her family a place to live. Sylvia's husband worked along side of the church members and North Americans to get this church completed. In saying this they do not have a home of their own right now. But they were willing to put sweat equity into a church which will allow them somewhere to worship and say thank you for the generosity of their community. This community is always helping each other and now they have a beautiful church building to invite others to come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
As the time came to a close they all gathered at the altar and prayed over the building God made to further HIS Kingdom work here on earth. What a privilege and honor it was to be a small part of the big plan. Thank you God for using us in such a way. We are humbled as you continue to use this ministry to further the kingdom. Please pray for Pastor Nelson has he continues to flock the sheep God has placed before him. Pray as he leads others to Christ through this new facility in this cow pasture. Pray for the lost to come to know Christ by asking about this new building. We had several opportunities during this period of time to share the gospel of Jesus with those passing by. There was one man in particular who needs Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, Caesar. Please pray for Caesar he will accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Also please pray for someone who lives very close to the church, Milton. I met Milton four years ago and this church family is close to his home and he needs Jesus. Pray for Milton too please. I am sure there are so many folks living around this church who needs to receive the free gift of salvation. Pray for Pastor Nelson as he and his church family work and share the good news, the greatest gift of all, JESUS.
"Well done good and faithful servants."
