We would like to welcome New Hope Baptist Church Youth Group who volunteered to help complete the church in Los Delicious. They arrived being prepped by their Youth Pastor and Team Leader, Brian. Before coming into Honduras he prepares his youth for what to expect and what God expects of them. They are required going in not to bring any technology for this 8 day journey and are allowed one phone call to family to let them know they arrived. Pastor Brian wants them to be fully apart of what God wants them to see through their journey in Honduras. In saying all of this there are never any complaints from these young people. They give it their all. They journal their trip, find a time of quiet each day to prepare their hearts and minds for what the day holds ahead. Each morning one team member shares a devotional from God's word before their day begins. They equip themselves for what God has in store for them.
They arrived on the job site as the last team to complete this church. They gathered around as the Hondurans meet their last North American family who offered to help them produce a church for this community who five years ago was prominently Catholic. The land owner, Carlos, gave the property to the church and now New Hope youth has arrived to put the finishing touches. Thank you all four teams who came forward and work as a team to make this dream come true for these beautiful people.
