Time came to pray over the first block of the second team working at Mt. Horeb's dorms. The group asked Pastor G to pray because like the last team the Honduran workers place their hands on the North Americans as Pastor G prayed a pray of thanksgiving for all the North Americans are doing for his country and people. Tears flowed down my cheeks as Pastor G prayed for each of our children and grandchildren. The love and gratitude these people have for others is definitely something I and others learn each and every day we serve beside our brothers and sisters in Honduras. Laura shared during her devotional one evening how loving and serving the Lord should never be a burden to us. Serving our Lord should be a honor and privilege each day. Loving others is our way of abiding in God's will for our daily lives.
2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.
