Worship Service

The team arrived Sunday morning to worship for the last time on the front porch of Anna's family's home.  The church family worshiped their often in the past if it was raining instead of on the lot where the church was being built.  They received a very special treat before worship service started.  Pastor Amado was preparing a dish called arroz de leche.  Each person received a cupful of this delightful Honduran cuisine.  As the people were coming from all directions, down different paths the North Americans were in awe of the beauty of worship in Honduras.  The Hondurans started the morning by singing "Because He Lives".  The beautiful old Baptist hymn brought precious memories for several of the team members.  The North Americans had prepared and practiced a song for the Hondurans in Spanish, "Open My Eyes".  This is a favorite for the Hondurans churches as well as for the North Americans.  Kevin, Lizzy and Stefan shared their testimonies before Pastor Brian got up to share a profound message on "Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life."  Pastor Brian was straight to the point.  Jesus is the only Way for us all.  If you do not know Jesus Christ and if you do not experience the joy I have been sharing in this blog the Honduran folks have I pray you will seek Jesus Christ, The Way, The Truth and the Life.  This will be the only way you will find true peace and joy  in the worst of times is through Jesus Christ.  It is easy to have Jesus during the easy times but Jesus is your only way through the difficult times.  This group enjoyed a beautiful morning of worship as they shared in God's Word and singing praises to HIS most Holy Name.
All God's people said AMEN!!!!
