Introducing Juan, Ava and Marlan

We would like to introduce a quiet and humble family out of El Tablado, Pespire, Choluteca.  God blessed us with this first time home project back in January as Mike and I went along with Pastor Carlos to new territory.  Once we left out of the main road of Pavana instead of turning left towards Choluteca we turned right going back towards Tegus.  We are sitting in the middle of two Baptist Associations.  This one being in an area called Perspire.  We did not know what a blessing we were going to find on this January morning.  But God surely did.  He took us up to a lady named Ava who had the most beautiful smile and a husband who was quiet but kind in spirit.  He is a black smith by trade and she makes the Anfre Mixta clay pots to sell.  This enabled them with the help of their church family to put in their own foundation.  We always encourage our families to pay for the foundation.  This gives them ownership and sweat equity as well in their new home.  So as we gathered around the foundation of Juan, Ava and Marlon this beautiful Tuesday morning, team leader Mark shared how this is the perfect spot for their team.  Yes it was.  Everyone fell into a rhythm of working side by side along side a language barrier.  God can over come any barriers in our lives as long as we allow Him to be at the center of our lives and we are doing HIS will.  So as we finalized introductions Pastor Carlos led us into our first prayer with the family.

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3:4
