The Job is Almost Done

Once there was 800 blocks now there is a home. The team climbed down the long path one more time to their little piece of heaven here on earth.  As I walked around looking at the home I saw a stoop put on the front door.  I looked inside to see hammocks eagerly awaiting to be used for someone's bed, hammock for some good sleeping.  Because now Elmer and Marlon and their four handsome boys will never get wet again.  They will be able to sleep in a dry safe home.  in the past they probably slept at Carmen's when it rained so to stay dry.  Now they have their own home.  We prayed up one last time with our circle of friends as I watched this lovely couple prepare to receive their home later that day.

The floor was going down the day before but on the last day their was still some work to be done.  Once again this team of young people stepped up to the plant and helped however they could.  Chris was pushing the wheelbarrow while Sam and Caleb sifted the sand for the mixture.  Andrew smoothed out the floor as it was going down.  Everyone was willing to work hard.

Mike and Barry put the roof up with the help of Andrew and Moses passing up the tin.  Along with some other Honduran friends assisting to get the job to completion.  Barry and Mike make a good team and work well together.  We are blessed with hard workers this week no matter how old they are.

Sifting the rocks for the floor was a most needed job.  It was hard labor and continuous shoveling until the floor was completed.  Thank you young people for stepping up to the plate and kept on keeping on until the floor was complete.

Time to clean up before we moved on to the dedication.  Andrew and Chris carried the metal tool box to the Kia which was not an easy task. Everyone pitched in to load the materials at the bottom of the hill into the Kia.  Pastor Brian made sure the grounds were left clean and ready for the dedication.  Thank you God for such willing servants of the Lord.

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
Matthew 25:23
