Honduran Culture is Awesome

Team member found his way up there with Mike and Jose for a mid morning snack.  Elsa has prepared eggs, beans and tortillas for these gentlemen.  She topped it off with a nice cup of hot coffee with lots of delicious sugar.  Throughout the week the team enjoyed a lot of Honduran culture.  For breakfast one morning on the ministry campus Rudy shared the bananas were ready for harvest.  Senovia fried them up for the teams enjoyment.  Everyone enjoyed their special treat.  Thank you Rudy for sharing the harvest of Mt. Horeb.  On the last day God provided two oxen and a cart to go by.  The modern day transportation, the bus and the truck were blocking the road for our two huge guys.  One of them bellowed out a yell like move that bus please we are coming through.  The gentlemen was kind enough to wait on us to move our vehicles and he told us these big boys were three years old.  This was a special moment for me as I enjoy watching the oxen working together and are contained by a yoke.  We had a biblical story time with this one.  When our yoke is heavy Jesus will carry us through.  This yoke on the two oxen carry them through together.  They worked as a team through the discipline of their yoke which binds them together.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11: 29-30
