Justin and Ana

We would love to welcome back Justin this year after numerous times here to Honduras with his father Brian.  This year Justin changed up things a little bit and brought someone very special to his heart to Honduras.  We would love to welcome and adore our new family member, Ana who he is now engaged to be married to in the near future.  What a way to start out your relationship together serving their Lord and Savior in Honduras.  Ana was fairly new to this team and to Honduras.  This was her first time on an international mission trip and it was with her finance Justin.  How so sweet this was to watch them working side by side on every aspect of their week.
The most impressive was their devotionals this week.  They both did an amazing job sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the young people on their team.  Justin had the first evening and shared with his teammates we each make a big difference by being here this week.  We were each called here for a purpose and God will show us this week what our purpose will be if we only get still and listen.  If we are children of God through the blood of Jesus Christ and have received HIM as our Lord and Savior we are HIS Heirs. Justin read Romans 12:3-8 and Galatians 3:26-29.  Afterwards he had us all do an exercise of being still and being in the presence of God.  This felt so awesome to be still and how blessed we were all after a long day and to be able to stop and be in the presence of God. Then on Monday Ana shared in the evening devotional about being flexible and being trusting in God in everything we were doing this week.  She read out of Numbers 9:15-23 where it talks about a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night guided and protected the Israelites as they traveled across the desert.  These two natural phenomena's were the vehicles of God's presence and the visible evidence of his moving directing his people. As I look back on this Ana was sharing I believe how God's hedge of protection was surrounding them while here in Honduras, day and night.  They trusted God with their lives and was flexible doing what God had called each of the to do this week.
These two young people sat a beautiful example of godly young people out to serve their Lord not just this week but as they return home, as Justin is preparing to go into the ministry and what an amazing pastor's wife Ana will be one day for Justin. Mike and  I am so proud to be able to see all of this unfold and play a small part of it all.  Welcome to the our family too Ana!!!
