VBS

VBS is always a special treat here in Honduras especially if you love children.  The entire team got to go the first day which was a blessing for them all.  They were sitting talking as one by one those precious ones started coming into the children.  I shared with Pastor Randy as they were getting ready to start this right here is a perfect number for the team today, there was around twenty five to start with.  Meida led them in singing and they continued to flow into the church where Pastor Ramon is loved by each and every child.  It was so obvious how much they loved their pastor.  They each loved on him as they settled in for an adventure with some strangers who came to their church today.  Pastor Randy and Tino continued to greet them as they slowly filled up the church with around seventy five beautiful eager faces.  They were ready to sing and learn more about Jesus.  The first lesson was led by Karen about the Creation.  Karen read the creation story from her Bible.  She gave examples by using Carson and a Honduran boy and Addison and a Honduran girl how different we are but how we all are created in the image of God.  Payton then got up to share the coloring activity with the children.  It was a huge poster about them.  She had already done one about herself and shared about herself with the children so they would have an idea of how they need to do the activity.  They all spread out on the floor and on the benches of the church to start their life poster of themselves.  Everyone pitched in to help the children if there was any questions.  But the sweetest of all was Pastor Ramon who got down on the stage with one little boy and intensely helped him with his and never left until he was almost finished.  This community is so blessed to have such a godly man as their pastor.
